Top 6 Benefits to an Organized Home (Part 2)
/There are so many reasons to spend time on organizing and decluttering your home. In Part 2 of our blog, Benefits to an Organized Home, we want to focus on the benefits to your health. Yes, it’s true! Living in a decluttered and organized space, surrounded by the things that you love and that are useful to you and your family, can have a positive benefit on your health! Here are just a few of the benefits that you will see after organizing your home.
It’s a mood booster! When you look around your home and see that it’s all organized, it will instantly put a smile on your face.
Increase your self-esteem. When you feel good about your home, you’ll feel better about yourself, and this will have positive effects on other areas of your life.
Cuts down on stress. When you look at a messy and cluttered space, chances are it causes stress…don’t worry, this is very common! By working on one area of your home at a time, you can decrease your stress level by requiring less last minute panics while trying to find a missing item.
Promotes creativity. Did you know that organized space can positively contribute to your creativity? If you are a writer, a crafter, a designer, and artist or are involved in any creative field, get your juices flowing by organizing your workspace.
Improves sleep. When your head hits the pillow at night, does your mind feel likes it’s on fast forward as you list all the projects that need to be done? Check at least one project off the list – organizing and decluttering your bedroom – and feel yourself drift off into a peaceful slumber.
You’ll be more productive. Whether you are working from home, helping your kids with remote schooling, or menu planning, you’ll be more productive when living in an organized home.
Remember, organizing and decluttering your home doesn’t have to happen all in one day or one weekend or one month. But do set a goal for yourself (I’d like to have my bedroom closet organized in the next 7 days), set reminders on your calendar, and get started!
