Sometimes our lives are so busy, that putting items away where they belong gets pushed to the back burner.

But I've got a great strategy for you that can work in any room in your house!

Schedule 15 minutes once or twice a week and declutter, organize or put away anything you can.

Be sure to set a calendar reminder and a timer. When the timer goes off, you're done! It's amazing what you can accomplish in just 15 minutes if you set your mind to it.

Here's a great example that you can do in your home office:

  1. Set aside unused office supplies to be donated to a local nonprofit.

  2. Take dusty books off the shelf and donate them to a nursing home.

  3. Shred that pile of receipts, especially for items that can't be returned like food and restaurants.

  4. Grab a scrap of paper, test your pens, and throw away the ones that don't work so you always have working pens available.

And that's it. In just 15 minutes you will be on your way to a decluttered and organized home!
